🔵 1. Verb
A verb is a word that shows an action or a state of being.
📌 Examples: run, eat, sleep, is, have, sing
🟢 2. Weak Verbs (Soft Verbs)
These verbs form their past tense by adding -ed, -d, or -t.
📌 Examples: Walk → Walked, Jump → Jumped, Talk → Talked
🔴 3. Strong Verbs
These verbs change their vowel sound to form past tense. No "-ed".
📌 Examples: Sing → Sang → Sung, Drive → Drove → Driven, Begin → Began → Begun
🟡 4. Transitive Verbs
These verbs need an object to complete their meaning.
📌 Examples: She reads a book. He writes a letter. They eat rice.
👉 "book", "letter", "rice" = objects
🟠 5. Intransitive Verbs
These verbs do not need an object.
📌 Examples: He sleeps peacefully. Birds fly. She cries.
👉 No object after the verb
🟣 6. Auxiliary Verbs (Helping Verbs)
They help the main verb to form tenses, mood, or voice.
📌 Examples: is, am, are, was, were, has, have, had, will, shall, can, may
👉 He is going to school.
🟤 7. Finite Verbs
These verbs change form according to the subject and tense.
📌 Examples: She plays. (present), They played. (past)
👉 "plays", "played" = finite verbs (tense & subject based)
⚪ 8. Infinitive Verbs
Base form of a verb, usually with "to", not limited by subject or tense.
📌 Examples: to eat, to sing, to go
👉 She wants to go to the park.
