Chacha Nehru (Jawaharlal Nehru)
He was born on 14th November 1889 in Allahabad.
His father’s name was Motilal Nehru, and his mother’s name was Swarup Rani Nehru.
He went to England for higher studies and studied at Cambridge University.
He was a great freedom fighter and worked with Mahatma Gandhi for India’s independence.
He loved children very much, and children lovingly called him “Chacha Nehru.”
He believed that children are the future of the nation.
He was a great writer, thinker, and leader.
He wrote famous books like “Discovery of India” and “Glimpses of World History.”
He always wore a rose flower on his coat.
He wanted India to be a modern, scientific, and peaceful country.
He died on 27th May 1964.
Every year, his birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day in India.
He will always be remembered for his love, kindness, and vision.
He was truly a man of peace and progress.
